Hello, my name is Denise, I am an Ojibwe woman.
I am a member of the Red Rock Indian Band, an Ojibwe First Nation in Northwestern Ontario and was raised in a traditional land-based Anishinaabeg home having spent my formative years alongside my maternal grandparents and extended family.
I spent 20+ years in the federal public service and pride myself as a business leader and community role model committed to supporting the advancement of Indigenous Peoples and Women in business. I am an active member of:
Judy Miller is President & Treasurer of DJ Animikii Ventures Ltd. Judy brings to DJ Animikii 30 years of experience managing and operating DJ Miller & Sons Const. Ltd., her family-owned heavy construction company. Judy is a member of the Heavy Construction Safety Association of Saskatchewan Inc., and holds a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation.
Raised and presently living in a small town in south-eastern Saskatchewan on Treaty 4 Territory, Judy believes in the value and importance of Indigenous consultation, community engagement, sustainability and giving back. Along with Denise, Judy is committed to building roads to economic reconciliation and furthering relationships with the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
